Ministries of our Church

Jesus Christ gave the Great Commission in Matthew 28: 19 and 20: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. The First Christian Church of Palmer strives to heed the Master's call with the following ministries:

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION: During the Sunday morning service our pastor, CD Haun, teaches lessons from the Bible for the adults of the congregation. At the same time our children have the opportunity for growth during the Children’s Church meeting.

ELDERS: The Elders of the church are chosen by the congregation after prayerful nomination by the church board. Elders are assigned the responsibility to assist the pastor in his ministry as well as serve communion and care for the needs of the entire congregation.

DEACONS: Deacons are servants of the Church. Our deacons have charge of the sick and needy members and act as assistants to the Pastor in advancing the general interest of the Church Body. Deacons also pass the communion and collect the morning offering.

NEWS FROM THE PEWS: The News is our Church's monthly newsletter.  This is a ministering tool we use to share the blessings and celebrations in the lives of our church family.  The newsletter is published every first Sunday.  The current month’s issue is presented in this webpage.

WEBSITE MINISTRY: In order to share the ministry of the church and present the gospel presentation we use modern techniques.  Our Website is a growing ministry to reach out and share the good news of God's loe.

MINISTER:  Our minister is an ordained pastor who strives to preach the gospel and fulfill his ministry faithfully and obediently.
MUSIC: Worship is the celebration of the mighty acts of God.  Therefore, the music presented in the church must point to and bring into remembrance what God has done through His Son, Jesus the Christ, and His continuing presence through the work and power of the Holy Spirit.
